I have had show and obedience dogs since 1969. My first dog was a Standard Longhaired Dachshund. JOSHUA was shown to his championship title and a U.D. obedience title. I also trained his daughter CASSIE and grandaughter ROSIE to their show and C.D. obedience titles. My next dog was a lovely Golden Retriever, KATIE. She became a show champion and an obedience champion (U.D. title plus TDX tracking title). Katie had a long and interesting life one year of which was spent living on a yacht with us. She lived to 15 1/2 years old.

When my Katie was 10 years old, TOBY, a Welsh Springer Spaniel. joined our family. He was a wonderful dog bred by Plattwood Kennels. Toby also gained his show and obedience championship titles plus an ET (Endurance Test). The great love of his life was tracking.

However I had always been fascinated by Skye Terriers after seeing some playful Skye Terrier puppies at Sydney Royal one year. In 1992 my husband Ken and I were delighted to receive a 8 week old puppy from Maureen & David Cartledge of the Santlin Skye Terrier Kennels in Melbourne. ANNIE ( Grand Ch Santlin Secrets Revealed C.D.) was a very successful show dog, a Best in Show winner as well as amassing over 25 Best in Groups and numerous Royal BOB wins.

I did not start formal obedience training with Annie until she retired from the show ring at 7 years of age. She quickly took to training with positive reward based methods and gained her C.D. title. My second Skye (Ch Santlin Storm Warning) was also bred by Maureen Cartledge was also a BIS winner and multiple BIG winner. One of SPIN'S significant wins was Group 2 at Sydney Royal.

In 1999 I bred these two Skyes to produce DUNCAN (Ch Redcourt Raisin Hell C.D J.D). Duncan is an All Breeds and Speciality BIS winner as well as earning his C.D. obedience title and Jumping Dog title. One of his special wins is a Group 3 placement at Melbourne Royal. His sister HOLLY (Ch Redcourt Razzle Dazzle C.D,A.D,J.D.X , GD )is, I believe, the first Skye in Australia to have gained any agility/ jumping titles. Both Duncan & Holly are fit , strong and healthy at aged 10 years old.

LEVY (Ch Skyeclan Destinys Secret) was bred by Helen& Ian Macgregor of Skyeclan Kennels, Queensland and she arrived in 2004. Lev is just starting her trialling career after winning BOB at Melbourne Royal 2007with a large enry of Skyes. She is an elegant and graceful jumper as well as being fast & enthusiastic.

In April 2008 the delightful Ch Rusalka's Jefferson, a drop ear Skye joined us from the Canadian Kennels of Sandi & Don Smiley. CAMPUS was co-bred with Karen J'Anthony of Amble On skyes in USA. Campus, as well as being lovely to look at has a playful and engaging personality. He is a wonderful and special addition to our family
